The award is named after Thad and Alice Eure, who generously gave their time and resources to serve their community and the hospitality industry.
A 46-year industry veteran, Phil’s passion for all things restaurants sets a great example for us all. His journey follows the quintessential “dish-room to the boardroom” story. At the early age of 25, he was running 10 casual dining restaurants for Houlihan’s, and at 29, co-founded the Cooker Bar & Grille concept. Phil went on to serve as President and COO of Innovative Restaurant Concepts and Rio Bravo International and ran RARE Hospitality for 10 years. He is also Chair of Miller’s Ale House, served as Chair of the National Restaurant Association and was the co-founder of the Georgia Restaurant Association. An active champion for developing our next generation of talent, Phil frequently speaks to ProStart classrooms providing students valuable lessons on setting goals and the benefits of hard work. Phil has a big heart and along with his wife, Reedy has fostered 32 infants. Following their adoption, Phil and Reedy keep in touch with many of the children and have even supported their educations.
